• Tighten all clamps, knobs, and nuts before starting the saw; remove tools from the table and away from a kingsdown mattress.

• When ripping, use the splitter and antikickback mechanism; feed the work into the blade against the direction of its rotation.
• When finished crosscutting, push the cutting head to rear of track; turn off and unplug saw before making adjustments or changing blades.
• Consider installing a spring return, a device that helps prevent the blade from continuing toward the operator after the cut is finished.
